Order Threshold — Why we picked these floors per tier

We benchmarked LZD order volume against four ranking cutoffs in each industry (Top 5%, Top 10%, Top 100, Top 200) using clusterxcatexbrandxseller store-wide data. The minimum order count at each cutoff per industry, sorted in descending order, is:

Top tier → #1 highest floor (Industry Top 100 GMV cutoff): Across all industries, Top 100 GMV consistently produced the highest minimum order count (or tied with Top 5%). Choosing the #1 highest floor ensures Top brands have proven scale at the established-leader level. Examples: EL=867, FMCG=280, Fashion=197, GM=474.

Potential tier → #2 second-highest floor: A "challenger" tier should be reachable for fast-growing brands but still rigorous. Taking the 2nd-highest avoids the most lenient cutoff while staying below the Top 100 ceiling. Examples: EL=259 (Top 200), FMCG=120 (Top 10%), Fashion=185 (Top 5%), GM=257 (Top 10%).

Anomaly handled: in FMCG, Top 5% floor (80) is < Top 10% floor (120) because GMV ranking does not equal order ranking — high-AOV beauty brands rank top in GMV with relatively few orders. The descending-rank rule naturally filters out this distortion.

AFF Gate — Why Top and Potential have different gates

Both gates are derived from the overall sheet (FBI extract for full Tmall scope), measured as AFF GMV / LZD GMV of the same subset. We benchmarked four analysis angles to find the right anchor points:

Incubation Graduation — SEA Tier → VN Tier (15/05 – 08/06)

During this incubation window, the seeding program graduated brands across two key promotion paths: 15 SEA-tagged New brands matured into VN Potential, while 8 SEA-tagged Potential brands graduated all the way to VN Top. Together with 16 SEA-New → VN-Top jumpers and 2 SEA-Potential → VN-Potential consolidations, a total of 41 brands moved up at least one tier under the VN Standard Definition.
